Jeff Gelles
Founder and CEO
Jeff Gelles left a career in journalism in September 2015 in part to pursue this project. A lifelong radio lover who dabbled in public broadcasting while in college, Jeff had found himself frustrated that broadcast radio lacked the kinds of user-friendly controls familiar to anyone who uses a digital video recorder such as a TiVO. He invented My Radio Anywhere to address that market gap. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Jeff’s most recent role in newspapering was as a columnist at the Philadelphia Inquirer, where he focused on consumer and technology issues and covered Philadelphia’s burgeoning high-tech community. His work provided valuable perspective on the problems faced by startups, a great appreciation of technology’s possibilities, and a sensitivity to the pitfalls faced by any consumer-product company.
